The college established in the year 1972. The first batch of 1972-73 started with 70 students enrolled. The first principal of the college was Late Shri. D. G. Wakharkar. Today we are proud to declare 39 regular B. P. Ed. batches along with B. P. Ed. Vacation batches from 1977-78 and regular M. P. Ed. Batches from 1979-80. Today we also have research center where around 40 students enroll for Ph. D. The college is having complete facilities related to sports, library, laboratory, hostels for boys and girls, etc.

The total area of campus is of 7 acres. It is distributed in 3 zones consisting main ground namely Late Shri Yashwantrao Chavan stadium, Main academic and adminstrative building and small grounds attached to it. The main staduim is of 3.5 acres utilized mainly for all outdoor activities.The small ground attached to academic building has basketball court, volleyball court, tennis court, etc. Academic building is erected on gymnastics hall (G+2).Academic and admistrative building consists of Principal's office, admistrative block,Four classrooms,library,laboratory,computer lab and staff room.
